Local Law Enforcement
Approximately fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a statement.
Law enforcement state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish fluid.
The substance had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.
Officers then found many other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi symbols.
Officials state early analysis show the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.
"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; authorities are currently not aware of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they added.
Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the community for details.
An important political figure said the vandalism left him stunned and required to be resolved rapidly.
"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting individuals of migrant background in 2020.
