19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a difficult season, managing just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his maiden title after the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had caused some to question if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden professional title, took control to create a final set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
